A confluence of raw nature and modern sculpture, The Obsidian River Bar Counter transforms any space into a gallery.
This exceptional piece is a masterclass in material harmony, pairing the warm, enduring beauty of Rohida wood with a dramatic, striking epoxy inlay.
The Design Story
We named this piece “The Obsidian River” because of the way the deep jet-black epoxy resin flows across the natural grain, mimicking a dark, winding river cutting through an arid landscape. The high-gloss finish of the resin contrasts beautifully with the matte-to-satin finish of the wood, creating a tactile and visually engaging surface.
Materials & Craftsmanship
• Rohida Wood (Desert Teak): Prized for its golden-brown hue and dense, durable structure, Rohida wood offers remarkable stability and resistance, ensuring this counter is built to last. The wood’s natural live edges and organic voids are celebrated, not hidden, making each slab truly unique.
• Obsidian Black Epoxy: A hand-poured, flawless epoxy river divides and highlights the two sections of wood. This protective surface is ultra-durable, scratch-resistant, and provides an easy-to-clean countertop perfect for serving drinks or displaying art.
• Waterfall Edge: The seamless, modern “waterfall” design carries the wood and resin grain from the horizontal top down the vertical side, giving the piece a grounded, architectural, and monolithic presence.
Note: This concept is customizable for any size of table
Note: Each wood piece is unique, so shape and color may differ.
